Tomas first got involved with Our Children’s Trust as a volunteer urging members of Congress in virtual meetings to cosponsor the Children’s Fundamental Rights and Climate Recovery in support of Juliana v. United States. His interest in the Juliana case can be contextualized through his background as an executive board member for his high school’s ecology club. He co-founded a chapter of GenCLEO at his high school, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization exclusively dedicated to climate education, advocacy, and engagement. This opportunity led to his involvement with the Civic Center, a national organization aimed at increasing engagement with youth. He is currently a peer sustainability educator for the Office of Sustainability at Yale University.
