EMILY MILLER (She/HER)

Content Writer & Communications Coordinator

Emily is a communications and storytelling professional who has spent most of her life in Ohio, with brief chapters in New Jersey and Texas while her parents completed their service in the U.S. Air Force. She studied English and Creative Writing at The University of Akron, where she discovered her passion for elevating powerful narratives that inspire change.

Emily’s career has centered on nonprofit work in both local and global contexts. She spent three and a half years in the anti-trafficking field, working in both direct care and communications, and later spent two years supporting global child welfare efforts. She continues this commitment today as a co-leader of an anti-trafficking outreach group in her community.

Driven by a deep belief in the power of stories to shape the world, Emily is excited to join Our Children’s Trust and contribute to a mission that is defending the rights and futures of young people. She looks forward to amplifying the voices of the courageous youth plaintiffs at the heart of OCT’s work.

Outside of work, Emily loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, get lost in a good book, and go rock climbing at her local bouldering gym.
