HISTORY IS GOING TO TRIAL
On October 26, 2026, 15 young Canadians will make history when La Rose v. His Majesty the King goes to trial in Vancouver, B.C..
For the first time, the federal government of Canada will face youth in court over its role in fueling the climate crisis and the harms it is causing to young people’s lives, health, cultures, and futures.

Join youth, supporters, community members, and climate advocates in Vancouver as the plaintiffs in La Rose bring their case before the Court.
Join Our Children’s Trust and West Coast Environmental Law outside the courthouse to cheer on the youth as they arrive. Then, help pack the courtroom! An overflow room livestreaming court proceedings will be available if courtroom capacity is reached. Let's show the world that Canada stands with its youth!
