Jacob is a former plaintiff in the landmark constitutional climate case, Juliana v. United States. He has participated in rallies to stop the Jordan Cove natural gas pipeline project in Oregon for over 6 years, and he practiced environmental journalism writing for 2 years with Planet Forward. He grew up on and continues to help manage a biodynamic farm and ranch located in Oregon, dedicated to showcasing how to live sustainably. He is heavily involved in projects such as sustainable farming, ecoforestry, environmental education, sustainable building, and education.
