Nathan is a former Juliana v. United States plaintiff, with over nine years of work with Our Children's Trust. Currently, he is a Program Director for Alaska Native Reindeer Herders, a non-profit consortium of 20 Inuit Tribes, to help build sustainable systems of Indigenous food sovereignty in Northwest Alaska. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Cold Climate Housing Research Center in Fairbanks and on more than a half dozen advisory boards related to food and land management policy in the Arctic, most notably the Alaska Resource Advisory Committee of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) as appointed by former Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland. He also owns Cloudberry Group, LLC, which supports Tribal justice-focused non-profits with low-cost grant writing.
